The Church is not the primary Spiritual Leader of the children.

The parents are.

As we sought to choose the correct curriculum for our Redeemer Kids ministry, this was our guiding principle.  The Bible teaches us this:

[7] You [the parent's] shall teach [God's commands and precepts] diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. [8] You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. [9] You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (ESV, Deuteronomy 6:7–9)

Therefore, our heart was to equip the parents as much as we can through our Children's ministry for the spiritual leadership of the home.  After much research and prayer, we discoered "The Gospel Story for Kids" - a Gospel-centered curriculum that connects every story to Jesus.

The story your child learns on Sunday morning can be further explored during the week by purchasing the companion volumes, "The Long Story Short" or "Old Story New".  In this way, we hope to equip you to train your family to be the primary shepherds of your children's faith and hearts.
